Ben is a design leader & doer with over 15 years of experience in professional software, home robotics, and health tech. He currently leads the Platform UX team at Verily (fka Google Life Sciences), applying human-centered design to take on some of the biggest challenges facing healthcare in America.
Prior to joining Verily, Ben spent 5 years at at iRobot, making Roomba smarter, easier to use, and more cat-friendly. Before that, he spent six years at Solidworks, designing CAD software for desktop, mobile, and web, and leading a small team of UX’ers.
Ben earned his Master’s at Northwestern University, and has been awarded ten US patents and a Red Dot “Best of the Best” award for the Roomba i7+. In his free time, he likes to hang with his daughters, grow veggies, wander aimlessly around cities, climb things, and tinker in his home workshop.
